One of the sights we take for granted as residents of Southwest Montana, are large herds of buffalo grazing on neighboring ranches. We don’t have to take a trip to Yellowstone Park or drive hundreds or thousands of miles to see these native animals. As I drove to the Upper Ruby above Alder, Montana, to check on our cattle, I noticed a large herd of Ted Turner’s buffalo grazing on the meadows near the Ruby River and thought what a treat to see these majestic animals in our backyard, where others may only see them in a zoo.

How thankful we should be to share these sights that we often take for granted. We live in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered parts of the world. Let us share our majestic lands with you.
